Find the right marine surveyor for your boat in Peru

Request an independent marine surveyor for a yacht, fishing vessel, workboat or commercial assignment in Peru. Matching starts with the exact port, yacht club, shipyard or inland-water location, vessel and survey purpose, Spanish-language and agent support, haul-out plan and whether the work is private or must satisfy DICAPI, insurer, lender, flag or class.

One request, matched to the actual job

How it works

A practical route from request to inspection

The platform helps structure the enquiry and introduce suitable professionals. The selected surveyor remains responsible for agreeing scope, fee and terms with you.

1

Tell us about the yacht

Share the vessel, survey purpose, location, timing and any buyer or registry deadline.

2

We review the scope

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.

3

Receive a suitable introduction

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

4

Appoint independently

You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.

Important distinction

Professional membership is not automatic flag approval

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

Peru marine survey locations

Plan the survey around Peru’s coasts and waterways

Peru’s maritime activity stretches along a long Pacific coast, with separate inland operations on navigable rivers and lakes. Identify the capitanía, terminal, club, yard or landing rather than only the nearest city.

Callao & Lima coast

Callao · La Punta · Lima yacht facilities

Separate club or leisure access from commercial-port and naval areas. Confirm passes, berth, lift and trial route.

Frequently asked questions

Before you appoint a marine surveyor

What details are needed for a Peru marine survey?

Provide vessel particulars, exact port, club, yard, river or lake, survey purpose and deadline, local contact, report recipient and any haul-out, trial or specialist requirement.

Is a private survey a DICAPI inspection?

No. DICAPI is Peru’s maritime authority and administers vessel registration, supervision, inspection and certification. A private buyer, insurer, lender or owner survey is separate.

Does DICAPI cover rivers and lakes?

Yes. DICAPI’s authority extends to maritime, navigable river and lake areas. The relevant captaincy must confirm any official procedure.

Can a surveyor travel to northern, southern or inland Peru?

Potentially. Flights, long road journeys, launches, accommodation and repeat attendance should be priced for the exact location.

How does Pacific weather affect a survey?

Swell, fog, port closures and local wind can affect boarding, lift and trials. The inspection plan should include a safe contingency.

Are agent, travel and yard costs included?

Only if stated. Agents, passes, travel, lift or slipway, wash, relaunch, skipper and testing can be separate.

Can you help with fishing and commercial vessels?

Potentially. Fishing vessels, damage, machinery, cargo and on-hire or off-hire work require suitable experience and any DICAPI, flag, class or client acceptance.
