One request, matched to the actual job

A pre-purchase inspection is not the same assignment as a tonnage measurement or commercial-code survey. We keep the scope clear from the beginning.

How it works

A practical route from request to inspection

The platform helps structure the enquiry and introduce suitable professionals. The selected surveyor remains responsible for agreeing scope, fee and terms with you.

1

Tell us about the yacht

Share the vessel, survey purpose, location, timing and any buyer or registry deadline.

2

We review the scope

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.

3

Receive a suitable introduction

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

4

Appoint independently

You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.

Important distinction

Professional membership is not automatic flag approval

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

Argentina marine survey locations

Plan the survey around Argentina’s coasts and waterways

Argentina’s boating and commercial activity spans a large river system and thousands of kilometres of Atlantic coast. State the exact club, marina, port or yard rather than only the nearest city.

Buenos Aires & Río de la Plata

Buenos Aires · San Fernando · Tigre · La Plata

Identify the yacht club, marina or commercial facility. Confirm lift capacity, mast status, river conditions and trial route.

Frequently asked questions

Before you appoint a marine surveyor

What details are needed for an Argentina marine survey?

Provide vessel particulars, exact river kilometre, marina, port or yard, survey purpose and deadline, local contact, report recipient and any haul-out, trial or specialist requirement.

Is a private survey a Prefectura Naval Argentina inspection?

No. Prefectura Naval Argentina is the national maritime authority and administers vessel registration and technical safety inspections. A private survey is separate.

Who controls statutory vessel safety in Argentina?

The current REGINAVE names Prefectura Naval Argentina as the implementing authority. Prefectura must confirm any statutory inspection, recognized-organization or certificate requirement.

Can one surveyor cover Buenos Aires and Patagonia?

Potentially, but they are separate mobilizations. Flights or long road travel, accommodation, weather and repeat attendance should be quoted explicitly.

Is Spanish-language reporting required?

It depends on the recipient. Spanish is important for local authorities and facilities, while an insurer, lender or foreign buyer may request English or bilingual reporting.

Are club, yard and travel costs included?

Only if stated. Marina or club access, travel, lift, wash, relaunch, mast handling, skipper and testing can be separate.

Can you help with expedition, fishing and commercial vessels?

Potentially. Expedition yachts, fishing vessels, damage, machinery, cargo and on-hire or off-hire work require suitable experience and any flag, class or client acceptance.
