What details are needed for a Puerto Rico marine survey?

Is a private survey a United States Coast Guard inspection?
No. A buyer, insurer, lender or owner survey is private and does not replace a Coast Guard inspection, examination or certificate.
What does Coast Guard Sector San Juan inspect?
Sector San Juan states that it inspects United States commercial vessels and conducts port-state-control examinations of foreign vessels in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Can one surveyor cover San Juan and the west coast?
Potentially. Road travel, yard schedules and any repeat attendance should be included in the quotation.
Can the report be in English or Spanish?
Yes, subject to the appointed surveyor. Confirm the language required by the buyer, insurer, lender or legal adviser before instruction.
Are haul-out and sea-trial costs included?
Only if listed. Yard lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel, engine technician and travel can be separate.
Can you help with sportfishing and commercial vessels?
