Pre-purchase survey
Independent condition inspection before you commit, with defects, priorities and practical next steps.
Request this survey
Request an independent marine surveyor for a yacht, catamaran, fishing craft or commercial vessel in the Dominican Republic. Matching starts with the exact marina, port, resort coast or yard, vessel and survey purpose, Spanish-language coordination, haul-out plan and whether the work is private or must satisfy the Armada de República Dominicana, insurer, lender, flag or class.
A pre-purchase inspection is not the same assignment as a tonnage measurement or commercial-code survey. We keep the scope clear from the beginning.

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

No. The Armada acts as national maritime authority and maintains the national vessel register. A private buyer, insurer, lender or owner survey is separate.
Law 5-23 places the National Registry of Maritime Vessels with the Armada de República Dominicana in its maritime-authority role. The Armada must confirm current requirements.
Potentially, but each coast is a separate road or air assignment. Travel, accommodation, yard timing and repeat attendance should be quoted explicitly.
Yes. Spanish is important for authorities, marinas, yards and records, while a foreign buyer or insurer may request English or bilingual reporting.
