What information is needed for a Dominican Republic marine survey?
Provide vessel particulars, exact marina, port, anchorage or yard, survey purpose and deadline, local contact, report recipient and any haul-out, trial or specialist requirement.
Is a private survey an Armada de República Dominicana inspection?
No. The Armada acts as national maritime authority and maintains the national vessel register. A private buyer, insurer, lender or owner survey is separate.
Who administers Dominican vessel registration?
Law 5-23 places the National Registry of Maritime Vessels with the Armada de República Dominicana in its maritime-authority role. The Armada must confirm current requirements.
Can one surveyor cover every coast?
Potentially, but each coast is a separate road or air assignment. Travel, accommodation, yard timing and repeat attendance should be quoted explicitly.
Is Spanish-language support useful?
Yes. Spanish is important for authorities, marinas, yards and records, while a foreign buyer or insurer may request English or bilingual reporting.
Are marina, travel and haul-out costs included?
Only if stated. Access, road travel, accommodation, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper and testing can be separate.
