What details are needed for a Vietnam marine survey quote?
Provide vessel particulars, exact port, marina, yard or river berth, survey purpose and deadline, Vietnamese-speaking contact, report recipient and any haul-out, trial, drawings or specialist requirement.
Is a private condition survey a Vietnam Register survey?
No. Vietnam Register and authorized organizations handle technical safety, classification and certification within the applicable statutory framework. A buyer or insurer survey is separate.
Who may issue statutory technical certificates?
Vietnamese regulations assign the registration organization role to Vietnam Register and allow it to authorize recognized foreign organizations for specified survey, classification and certification work. Confirm the current route for the vessel.
Can one surveyor cover northern and southern Vietnam?
Potentially, but the regions require separate flights or long road travel. Quote every facility, accommodation, access process and follow-up attendance explicitly.
Is Vietnamese-language support important?
It is often essential for yard entry, technical discussions and records. State whether a suitable bilingual owner, broker, builder or agent is available.
Are port access and haul-out included?
Only if the quotation says so. Agent support, passes, domestic travel, accommodation, lift, wash, relaunch, trials and specialist testing can be separate.
Can you help with new-build and specialist Vietnam assignments?
Potentially. Construction supervision, repair monitoring, machinery, ultrasound, damage, cargo and delivery acceptance require the right specialist and agreed reporting access.
