Pre-purchase survey
Independent condition inspection before you commit, with defects, priorities and practical next steps.
Request this survey
Request an independent marine surveyor for a yacht, fishing craft, workboat or commercial vessel in Pakistan. Matching starts with the exact harbour, terminal, yard or coastal site, vessel and survey purpose, access and haul-out plan and whether the work is private or must satisfy the Mercantile Marine Department, insurer, lender, flag or class.
A pre-purchase inspection is not the same assignment as a tonnage measurement or commercial-code survey. We keep the scope clear from the beginning.

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.
Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.
You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.
For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

No. The Mercantile Marine Department is part of Pakistan’s Maritime Safety Administration and administers registration and statutory survey functions. A buyer or insurer survey is separate.
Its published procedure includes measurement and engine survey, and states that fishing boats 12 metres or more require life-saving and fire-fighting appliance survey before the registration certificate is issued. Confirm current requirements for the craft.
No assumption should be made. The Mercantile Marine Department or accepting authority must confirm the appointed surveyor, scope, forms, fees and certificates for registration or statutory work.
Potentially, subject to current access and travel feasibility. The request should include the local sponsor, facility, vessel schedule, safe boarding plan, transport and accommodation.
Only if listed in the quotation. Agent support, security passes, flights or road travel, accommodation, lift or slipway, wash, relaunch and specialist testing can be separate.
Potentially. Fishing craft, workboats, new-builds, damage, machinery, ultrasound, repair monitoring, cargo and on-hire or off-hire surveys require the right expertise and any formal acceptance.
Choose the country where the vessel is located, or send the exact port, marina or yard so the assignment can be reviewed.
Tell us the vessel, exact Pakistani location and reason for the survey. We can help clarify access, travel and report requirements before you request an introduction.
