What information is needed for a Honduras marine survey?
Provide vessel particulars, exact island, marina, port, yard or inland site, survey purpose and deadline, local contact, report recipient and any haul-out, trial or specialist requirement.
Is a private survey a DGMM inspection?
No. The Dirección General de la Marina Mercante registers ships and administers maritime safety, inspection and certification. A private buyer, insurer, lender or owner survey is separate.
Does Honduran registration involve inspection and tonnage?
DGMM’s published procedures refer to port-captain inspection and tonnage documentation, with recognized organizations used in specified cases. Confirm the current route for the vessel.
Can a surveyor attend the Bay Islands?
Potentially. Flights or ferries, accommodation, local transfer, weather and repeat attendance should be quoted for the exact island.
Can one surveyor cover both Honduran coasts?
Potentially, but Caribbean and Pacific work are separate mobilizations with different facilities and travel.
Are island travel and yard costs included?
Only if stated. Flights, ferries, launches, accommodation, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper and testing can be separate.
