One request, matched to the actual job

How it works

A practical route from request to inspection

The platform helps structure the enquiry and introduce suitable professionals. The selected surveyor remains responsible for agreeing scope, fee and terms with you.

1

Tell us about the yacht

Share the vessel, survey purpose, location, timing and any buyer or registry deadline.

2

We review the scope

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.

3

Receive a suitable introduction

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

4

Appoint independently

You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.

Important distinction

Professional membership is not automatic flag approval

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

Lebanon marine survey locations

Plan the survey around Lebanon’s coasts and waterways

Lebanon’s recreational berths, fishing harbours and commercial ports require different access planning. State the vessel’s exact location and local contact; current travel, security, contractor entry, lift and sea-trial arrangements must be reconfirmed for every assignment.

Beirut & Dbayeh

Beirut · Dbayeh · greater Beirut marinas and yards

Separate marina-based yacht work from access to the commercial Port of Beirut. Confirm berth control, contractor identification, equipment entry and whether haul-out is available at the stated facility.

Jounieh & Keserwan

Jounieh · Kaslik · Keserwan coast

Provide the marina or harbour name, berth, vessel dimensions and local representative. Lift bookings, ashore access and trial arrangements should be agreed directly with the operator.

Find a surveyor in this region

Tripoli & north coast

Tripoli · El Mina · northern harbours

Allow for travel from Beirut and distinguish private-marina access from commercial or fishing-port controls. Confirm the working area and onboard contact before appointment.

Sidon, Tyre & south coast

Sidon · Tyre · southern coastal harbours

Location and access conditions can change. Reconfirm road travel, harbour permission, vessel movement, local support and whether the assignment can be completed afloat.

Commercial ports & repair access

Beirut · Tripoli · Sidon · Tyre registration ports

Commercial-port attendance may require advance permission and an agent or terminal contact. Official inspection, registration and tonnage work must be routed through the competent Lebanese maritime authority or an accepted organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Before you appoint a marine surveyor

What information is needed for a marine survey in Lebanon?

Provide the vessel name, type, dimensions, material and year; the exact marina, harbour or yard; survey purpose and deadline; local access contact; and whether haul-out, sea trial, machinery, rig or specialist testing is required.

Is a private condition survey the same as a Lebanese vessel inspection?

No. A pre-purchase, insurance or valuation survey is a private assignment. Registration, navigation, tonnage and official seaworthiness formalities sit with the Directorate General of Land and Maritime Transport, the relevant port office or an organisation accepted for the specific purpose.

Where can a Lebanese vessel be registered?

Lebanon’s published port rules identify Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon and Tyre as registration ports. They also describe inspection, measurement and documentation steps. Current requirements must be confirmed with the competent office for the vessel.

Can one surveyor cover both Beirut and northern or southern ports?

Potentially, but travel and access are priced around the actual itinerary. Multiple attendance points, restricted port entry or a separate haul-out location should be disclosed before a quotation is accepted.

Are lift, wash, sea-trial and port-access costs included?

Only when expressly included in the written quotation. Yard charges, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel, port permits, local agent support, travel and specialist testing can be separate.

Can a survey report be used for insurance or registration?

Only if the intended recipient accepts the surveyor, scope and report format. Obtain written requirements from the insurer, lender, registry or flag administration before appointing the surveyor.

Can you help with specialist marine assignments in Lebanon?

Potentially. Repair monitoring, accident investigation, ultrasound, moisture testing, machinery or rig work, commercial condition surveys and delivery acceptance require an appropriately experienced surveyor and confirmed access.
