What information is needed for a Bulgaria marine survey quote?
Provide the exact marina, port, yard or Danube location, vessel particulars, construction, survey purpose and preferred date. Include launch status, haul-out and trial access, report language and any insurer, lender, registry or Bulgarian authority requirement.
Is an independent condition survey the same as a Bulgarian statutory inspection?
No. A private buyer’s or insurer’s survey is separate from official inspection, certification or registration. Bulgaria’s Executive Agency Maritime Administration describes its role as including inspection, certification and registration of Bulgarian ships.
Which Bulgarian authority should be checked for official vessel requirements?
The Executive Agency Maritime Administration is the relevant national maritime authority and operates regional directorates including Varna, Burgas, Ruse and Lom. Confirm the applicable directorate, current vessel category and required documents directly.
Can one surveyor cover both the Black Sea and Danube?
Potentially, but Varna or Burgas and the Danube ports are separate travel assignments with different access, lifting and trial conditions. The exact facility is needed before availability can be checked.
Can I request an English-language report?
Yes, include English in the request. Confirm the final language, recipient, reliance rights and whether Bulgarian forms or translations are required for official use.
Are travel, haul-out and sea-trial costs included?
Only when expressly included in the written quotation. Travel, controlled-port access, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel and specialist testing can be separate.
