Independent marine surveyor matching
Marine surveys across Israel

Find the right marine surveyor for your boat in Israel

Request an independent surveyor for a yacht, small vessel or commercial assignment in Israel. Matching starts with the exact Mediterranean, Eilat or inland location, vessel length and use, controlled-access arrangements and whether the report is private or connected with an Administration of Shipping and Ports requirement.

One request, matched to the actual job

A pre-purchase inspection is not the same assignment as a tonnage measurement or commercial-code survey. We keep the scope clear from the beginning.

How it works

A practical route from request to inspection

The platform helps structure the enquiry and introduce suitable professionals. The selected surveyor remains responsible for agreeing scope, fee and terms with you.

1

Tell us about the yacht

Share the vessel, survey purpose, location, timing and any buyer or registry deadline.

2

We review the scope

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.

3

Receive a suitable introduction

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

4

Appoint independently

You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.

Important distinction

Professional membership is not automatic flag approval

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

Israel marine survey locations

Plan the survey around Israel’s coasts and waterways

Israel’s survey locations include Mediterranean marinas and ports, Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba and inland waters. Confirm the exact berth or yard, current access permission, vessel category, haul-out method, trial area and intended report recipient.

Haifa, Acre & north coast

Haifa · Shavit · Acre · Kishon-area facilities

Small-craft marina access and controlled commercial-port access are different. Identify the facility, local contact, security requirements and available lifting or repair support.

Find a surveyor in this region

Herzliya, Tel Aviv & Jaffa

Herzliya · Tel Aviv · Jaffa · central-coast marinas

Busy marina schedules can affect haul-out and sea trials. Confirm berth permission, lift window, pressure washing and whether specialist equipment may be used onsite.

Find a surveyor in this region

Ashdod & Ashkelon

Ashdod · Ashkelon · southern Mediterranean facilities

Commercial, marina and industrial access must be separated. Provide the exact facility, authorised contact, vessel status and any safety induction requirements.

Find a surveyor in this region

Eilat & Gulf of Aqaba

Eilat · Red Sea marinas · Gulf of Aqaba trial areas

Eilat is a separate long-distance assignment from the Mediterranean coast. Confirm travel, accommodation, haul-out capability and any border or controlled-area considerations.

Inland waters

Sea of Galilee · Lake Kinneret facilities · storage sites

Inland and trailered craft may use ramps or clubs rather than full-service yards. State the launch or storage address, lifting method and whether a safe operational trial is possible.

Frequently asked questions

Before you appoint a marine surveyor

What information is needed for an Israel marine survey quote?

Provide the exact marina, port, yard or inland location, vessel particulars, construction, survey purpose and preferred date. Include access contact, launch status, haul-out and trial arrangements, report language and any insurer, lender, registry or Administration of Shipping and Ports requirement.

Is a private pre-purchase survey the same as an Israeli vessel inspection?

No. An independent buyer’s condition survey is separate from official registration, licensing and fitness inspections performed within Israel’s Administration of Shipping and Ports system.

Which vessels are handled by Israel’s Small Vessels Department?

The Administration’s published description states that the division handles small vessels up to 24 metres used privately or commercially and carrying up to 15 persons. It performs initial and periodic fitness inspections as part of the official licensing system. Confirm the current category directly.

Can a private survey report replace a vessel licence or periodic inspection?

No. The Administration of Shipping and Ports maintains the Israeli Boats and Ships Registry and the Small Vessels Department handles vessel licences and inspections. A private report only serves the agreed client purpose unless the authority expressly accepts it.

Can one surveyor cover the Mediterranean coast and Eilat?

Potentially, subject to availability and travel. Eilat is geographically separate from Haifa, Herzliya or Ashdod and should be quoted as its own attendance with local access and haul-out details.

Are travel, security access, haul-out and sea-trial costs included?

Only when expressly included in the written quotation. Travel, accommodation, controlled-port access, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel and specialist testing can be separate.

Can you help with specialist marine survey assignments?

Potentially. Repair monitoring, sea trials, ultrasound, corrosion testing, stability-related work, accident investigation, marine warranty and commercial handover surveys require the right specialist and any necessary formal appointment.
