One request, matched to the actual job

How it works

A practical route from request to inspection

The platform helps structure the enquiry and introduce suitable professionals. The selected surveyor remains responsible for agreeing scope, fee and terms with you.

1

Tell us about the yacht

Share the vessel, survey purpose, location, timing and any buyer or registry deadline.

2

We review the scope

We check geography, material, size, specialist needs and whether formal acceptance matters.

3

Receive a suitable introduction

Where available, we connect you with a surveyor whose stated capability fits the assignment.

4

Appoint independently

You compare the scope and terms, resolve conflicts and instruct the professional directly.

Important distinction

Professional membership is not automatic flag approval

For pre-purchase and condition work, competence, experience, insurance and independence are central. For tonnage, registration, coding or statutory work, the flag or accepting organisation may also require a specific appointment.

Egypt marine survey locations

Plan the survey around Egypt’s coasts and waterways

Egypt’s maritime locations cover separate coasts and controlled waterways. Confirm the exact marina, port or yard, local agent, security permission, vessel status, lifting arrangements and whether the assignment interacts with Suez Canal navigation procedures.

Alexandria & north coast

Alexandria · Abu Qir · El Alamein · Mediterranean facilities

Commercial-port, marina and coastal-yard work require different access. Identify the facility and agent, confirm security permission and state whether haul-out and sea trials are available.

Port Said, Ismailia & Suez

Port Said · Ismailia · Suez · canal marinas and yards

Canal-area work must be coordinated with the vessel’s agent and applicable Suez Canal procedures. Separate a private condition survey from transit, measurement or authority requirements.

Find a surveyor in this region

Hurghada & El Gouna

Hurghada · El Gouna · Abu Tig · Red Sea marinas

State the exact marina or boatyard, local access contact and lift capability. Tourist-marina access, commercial work and offshore trial routes must be agreed separately.

Safaga, Marsa Alam & south Red Sea

Safaga · Port Ghalib · Marsa Alam · southern facilities

Long road distances and limited heavy-lift options can affect scope and timing. Confirm equipment access, accommodation, vessel relocation and weather conditions.

Sharm el-Sheikh & Sinai

Sharm el-Sheikh · South Sinai · Gulf of Aqaba locations

Security and local operating permissions must be confirmed before attendance. Provide the facility, responsible agent, vessel use and whether trial or diving access is required.

Frequently asked questions

Before you appoint a marine surveyor

What information is needed for an Egypt marine survey quote?

Provide the exact marina, port or yard, vessel particulars, survey purpose, preferred date and local agent or access contact. Include launch status, haul-out and trial arrangements, report language and any insurer, lender, registry, Canal or Egyptian authority requirement.

Is a private condition survey the same as an Egyptian statutory inspection?

No. A buyer’s or insurer’s independent survey is a private contractual service. Egyptian flag, safety, certification, port and Canal requirements remain with the relevant authorities and accepting organisations.

Does a yacht survey automatically satisfy Suez Canal requirements?

No. Suez Canal transit is governed by the Suez Canal Authority’s Rules of Navigation and current circulars. A private survey report does not replace Canal procedures, measurements, agent documentation or an inspection required by the Authority.

What should be stated for a Suez Canal-area assignment?

Identify whether the vessel is in Port Said, Ismailia, Suez or transiting, its Suez Canal gross tonnage if known, the appointed agent, berth and planned movement. Official rules include separate provisions for small craft under 300 SCGT.

Can one surveyor cover the Mediterranean and Red Sea?

Potentially, subject to availability, travel and access. Alexandria, the Canal, Hurghada, Sinai and the southern Red Sea are distinct assignments and may require flights, long road transfers or local agent support.

Are travel, agent, port-access and haul-out costs included?

Only when expressly included in the written quotation. Flights, road travel, accommodation, agent support, security access, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel and specialist testing can be separate.

Can you help with specialist marine survey assignments?

Potentially. Repair monitoring, sea trials, ultrasound, stability-related work, accident investigation, marine warranty and commercial handover surveys require the right specialist and any necessary authority or facility approval.
